Everything New for the 2019 Under Armour B3 Distance Series presented by KELLY

Tuesday, February 26, 2019

While we bounce between snow and 50 degree weather it’s hard to believe the race season is right around the corner. I’m very excited about this year’s Under Armour B3 Distance Series Presented by KELLY, and I wanted to share some changes to the series that you can look forward to.

Free Race Photos

We have partnered with Chessie Photo to offer FREE races photos at each of the B3 races. After the race you’ll receive an email inviting you to take a look at your pictures, and you can download and share as you please. Be sure to tag #B3series on social media!

Corral Starts

Each race in the B3 series will have starting corrals split by running pace to make finding your spot easier than ever. Your bib will correspond to your corral, and each corral will be marked with signage and staffed with volunteers to help get you where you need to go. You’ll start with folks who are running close to your pace which will lead to a better experience out on the course!

Expanded Post-Race Areas

We have worked to expand the post-race parties at the Shamrock 5K and Sole of the City 10K. This means quicker access to food and beer, along with more space to celebrate with your friends.

Course Change for Sole

This year’s Sole of the City 10K will take you through the new Harbor Point development with beautiful views of the Inner Harbor. You’ll also run by the Charm City Run Fells Point store! This race was voted “Baltimore’s Best Road Race” by Baltimore Magazine, so it’s one you don’t want to miss!

Hex 2-Person Relay at the Charles Street 12

Maybe the most exciting change to the B3 series is the addition of the HEX 2-person relay to the Under Armour Charles Street 12 Presented by KELLY. The 5 mile/7 mile split makes this race much more attainable for folks who don’t want to commit to the full 12 miles, and relay members get the same swag as the 12 milers!

B3 Commemorative Pins

If you’ve run the B3 in the past you deserve some props, and the B3 pins are your way to show off your accomplishment. Since we just launched this program in 2019, you can get all of your “past” pins if you sign up for this year’s B3. Ran B3 4 times? You’ll receive the 2, 3, and 4 year pins. Put them on your B3 backpack, finisher medal, or anywhere else you want to show them off!

Unique Swag

We are also extremely excited for this year’s B3 backplate finisher medal. It’s a great addition to your collection, and one of the most unique medals we’ve ever produced. You’ll be able to magnetically attach each of your 3 race medals to the large back plate medal as you reach each finish line.

The B3 logoed Under Armour backpack has quickly become a staff favorite for work, trips to the gym, and everything in between.
