Kim grew up in Harford County, and has always been active in sports, including field hockey, gymnastics, swimming, and softball.  She didn’t get the running bug until she signed up for her first half marathon in 2008.  Inspired by her husband Mark, who is a lifelong runner, Kim signed up for her first half marathon as a way for them to spend time training together. She didn’t realize at the time how much this would end up changing her life, and how important running would become.  Running fuels her competitive streak and reminds her of what Rocky Balboa said, “It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about hard you can get hit and keep moving forward that’s how winning is done.”  Most days now you can find her running with friends, or her dog Theo. She has two girls, Mikayla and Rylie, who haven’t gotten the running bug yet, but know it’s only a matter of time, now that she is in Bel Air at the store.
