Coach: Meghan Fugate

Meghan has been coaching running since the Fall of 2000 when she started the Middle School Cross Country Team at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson. Since then she helped start the Middle School Cross Country Team at Garrison Forest School and coached their Varsity Team for five years. Beginning in 2007, Meghan coached Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field at Mercy High School and Varsity Cross Country. After being at Mercy for 7 years, she coached CCBC Essex’ Women’s Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams for 2.5 years. Meghan began running in Middle School and completed her first marathon at the age of 19. She has completed countless 5k’s, 10k’s, 10 milers and half marathons. She has completed more than 50 marathons including the New York City Marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon and Chicago. Her ultimate goal is to run a marathon in every state! Meghan has used triathlons for cross training and has completed 4 Half Ironmans and Ironman Maryland as well as open water endurance events. In 2011, Meghan began coaching at Charm City Run in Howard County where she worked with a variety of runners ranging from beginner 5k walkers and runners through marathoners looking to set new prs! And now, Meghan is the Fells Point Store Lead and has taken her coaching prowess to our city location. Follow your coach on Instagram! @coachmeghan262

BECOME A STRONGER RUNNER THIS WINTER

Want to add strength training to your repertoire? Coach Meghan will lead a group every Sunday morning at 6am. Sessions will be comprised of a dynamic warmup, strength training focusing on a specific part or the whole body, static stretching and a weekly topic!  Each session will be 45-60 minutes.

Participants will need a yoga mat or towel, a set of 3, 5 or 8 pound hand weights, and a full water bottle! First Workout will be Sunday February 8th.

No meet ups on Sunday March 15th, April 5th, April 19th
