Coach: Helga Beckman
Helga is no stranger to the Charm City Family as she has worked in our Annapolis location for several years. But recently she has joined Stefanie coaching our latest Turkey Trot group and she's thrilled to be joining our coaching team going forward!
Helga has degrees in biology and nutrition and a minor in exercise science. She worked for years in the health field as a nutritionist and later in life as a preschool teacher. She believes strongly in the power of movement to heal the body, both on the inside and outside. She can attest to this while personally battling numerous autoimmune disorders. Helga has grown children that she loves to spend time with but currently she is mostly just a mother to her pup, Tedi. Helga has raced numerous 5k's, 10k's, and half marathons but has recently retired her racing shoes so she can keep her hiking and trekking shoes on instead. Helga is an avid hiker and loves to travel the world as much as possible, seeking the highest mountains she can climb.
Helga looks forward to sharing her knowledge of running, exercise science and nutrition with her runners and walkers and is very welcome new addition to our coaching staff.
