Coach: Erica Stein
Erica Stein is lucky to have two jobs she is passionate about; being an occupational therapist for the Baltimore City Public School System and of course working for Charm City Run. A former competitive figure skater, Erica started running at a young age as a way to increase her skating fitness. She ran cross country and indoor track in high school and continued running recreationally through college and adulthood. Erica has raced all distances up to marathon, with her favorite being the half marathon. She was an occasional customer at Charm City Run when she decided to join a marathon training group. Though she had to drop out of the group midway due to injury, she had already found the community and support she was looking for and she didn’t hesitate to sign up for the next marathon group, which took her to a PR in the Chicago Marathon. The community of Charm City Run is like no other and Erica wanted to be a bigger part of it. She was excited to join the team as a store employee in November 2022 and thrilled to take on the 10K training group.
Erica regularly seeks out educational opportunities to increase her knowledge about running, fitness, and coaching. She is a certified RRCA coach and will continue to explore other certification courses. Erica believes that running is not something we have to do, it’s something we get to do and she looks forward to helping you achieve your running goals one mile at a time.

Description
TRAIN WITH A SUPPORTIVE GROUP TO RACE TO REACH YOUR FALL GOALS!
Our 8-week 10K training program is designed for beginner and intermediate-level runners who want to improve speed and endurance. Regardless of if you plan to race at the end of the program, this training group will help you develop a consistent running routine.
Group programs are offered at Charm City Run locations. You will meet twice a week for supported group runs with your fellow runners and coach – once for a speed workout and once for a distance run in addition to following a weekly training plan. Your expert coach will provide plenty of advice and running education along the way including tips & tricks for hydration, nutrition and injury prevention.
Requirements
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 2- 3 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.
What To Expect
- SUPPORTED GROUP RUNS AND WORKOUTS TWICE A WEEK WITH PLANNED ROUTES, HYDRATION AND COMPANIONSHIP
- POSITIVE AND WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE FOR RUNNERS AND WALKERS OF ALL LEVELS
- WEEKLY TRAINING PLANS – BEGINNER AND INTERMEDIATE OPTIONS
