Kristin Fitzgerald
My passion for running started in college as a form of stress relief. I decided to sign up for a half-marathon on a whim and loved the experience. After graduating from Social Work graduate school I was able to focus more on bigger running goals and started training to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I found a proper training plan that completely transformed my running and was able to run Boston in 2025. I found a deeper love of running by discovering proper training is not just focusing on improving times but also improving mindset. Spending hours a week being my own cheerleader instead of worst critic was the key to unlocking my true potential.
Running for me isn’t just about big goals, it’s also a great way to have fun and find connection. Some of my favorite runs are the ones I’ve spent with my first coaching client, Zeus, my rambunctious German Shepard. I love going to the Annapolis Charm City Run Thursday pub run to connect with other local runners. I have also participated in the Charm City Run Boston Marathon training group and found it to be a wonderful way to connect with other runners with similar goals.
In racing distances from 5k to marathons, I’ve personally experienced the power of consistent proper training. I believe the 5k/10k distance is a perfect challenge to unlock your true speed and power, and connect you to everything running has to offer!
