Description
Register for our winter track training and join a hard working group of student athletes led by an experienced coach. With schools getting ready for the spring season, this training gives middle students the opportunity to run over the winter and prepare for your upcoming season.
For seventh and eigth graders to get the most out of your winter. Purposeful winter training is the foundation for a great track season. Most importantly, winter training is crucial for your long-term growth and development as a running athlete.
This group will meet twice a week at Hereford High School on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3pm – 5pm.
Requirements
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run 2- 3 miles at one time. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements, don’t worry, ask the coach.
What To Expect
-
Structured and coach supported training sessions two times a week (speed work and long runs included)
-
Bio-mechanical analysis
-
Performance education: goal setting, tactical aspects of racing, recovery techniques, and proper equipment usage
-
10% off at Charm City Run for the duration of the training program
- 15% off Charm City Run Signature races for the duration of the training program
