Coach: Meghan Fugate
Meghan has been coaching running since the Fall of 2000 when she started the Middle School Cross Country Team at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson. Since then she helped start the Middle School Cross Country Team at Garrison Forest School and coached their Varsity Team for five years. Beginning in 2007, Meghan coached Varsity Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field at Mercy High School and Varsity Cross Country. After being at Mercy for 7 years, she coached CCBC Essex’ Women’s Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track Teams for 2.5 years. Meghan began running in Middle School and completed her first marathon at the age of 19. She has completed countless 5k’s, 10k’s, 10 milers and half marathons. She has completed more than 50 marathons including the New York City Marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon and Chicago. Her ultimate goal is to run a marathon in every state! Meghan has used triathlons for cross training and has completed 4 Half Ironmans and Ironman Maryland as well as open water endurance events. In 2011, Meghan began coaching at Charm City Run in Howard County where she works with a variety of runners ranging from beginner 5k walkers and runners through marathoners looking to set new prs! This NEW middle distance prep training program is designed for the beginner to intermediate-level runners who want to improve speed, strength and endurance as you prepare for a spring middle distance program, this training group will help you develop a consistent running routine and prepare you for half marathon training that starts in February.
Our NEW 8 week program will keep you training this winter, starting the week of December 7th* through January 25th as your prepare for your spring race season.
