Chad and Emily Young

Coach: Chad and Emily Young

Chad, an American University XC/TF alum, began his coaching career at Bethesda-Chevy Chase HS in 2005. Emily, a former walk-on at UNC, joined him in 2011. They remained at B-CC until 2021, coaching multiple individual, relay, and team state champions and earning Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year honors in the process. A growing family and the need for more space necessitated a move from Bethesda to Gaithersburg. Firm believers in being active members of their immediate community, the Young’s moved to Quince Orchard High School where Chad teaches math and they both serve as assistants to head coach Seann Pelkey.
