Coach: Karin Rodrick
Karin comes to the Charm City family as a college professor. She joined CC after training in their various programs for a couple of years. While she has always been passionate about fitness, her running career did not begin until she was in her 50s. She loves encouraging people to be the best version of themselves and finds joy in helping others begin or resume their running careers. She loves both road and trail running and has completed numerous 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons. Karin completed her first 25K trail race this year and counts it one of her biggest accomplishments. She is a fierce advocate that exercise improves one’s quality of life.
Virtual Training
We also offer virtual training options for half marathon training. You can either purchase a training plan or sign up for monthly virtual training with access to an expert coach.

TRAIN WITH A SUPPORTIVE GROUP TO RACE TO REACH YOUR FALL GOALS!
Our 8-week 10K training program is designed for beginner and intermediate-level runners who want to improve speed and endurance. Regardless of if you plan to race at the end of the program, this training group will help you develop a consistent running routine.
Group programs are offered at Charm City Run locations. You will meet twice a week for supported group runs with your fellow runners and coach – once for a speed workout and once for a distance run in addition to following a weekly training plan. Your expert coach will provide plenty of advice and running education along the way including tips & tricks for hydration, nutrition and injury prevention.
Requirements
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 2- 3 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.
