Fall Trail Half Marathon Training

Starts June 20th in Timonium!


Tired of the same old thing?  Ready for a new challenge?  Try trail running!  In the world of running it's a whole other sport from road-running! This training group will introduce you to the laid-back vibe that colors trail-running.  It will also bring a new CHALLENGE.

At Charm City Run our goal is to safely train runners towards reaching their goals of finishing your first trail race, achieving PR and everything in between. The power of the group atmosphere makes the journey fun and enjoyable while encouragement from your coaches makes the long runs much easier.

Each group will meet twice a week for 15 weeks for runs and learn about hydration, trail running, easy runs, recovery runs, hydration, nutrition, injury prevention and much more along the way. Weekday runs will consist of hills and track workouts. Saturday morning runs will be trail runs at local parks, unless weather forces us to stay on the roads.

To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.

This session will start June 20th and end October 1st.

Target Races: River Ralley Run 15K on Saturday, August 19th, Blue Steel Trail Half Marathon (21K) on Sunday, October 1st, or any other mid distance trail race within the same time frame.
