Susquehanna Half Marathon Training

Prepare for the Susquehanna Running festival!

Starts June 30th in Bel Air!

Are you planning to run 13.1 this fall at the Susquehanna Running Festival? Our training program will prepare to race your best - whether you're new to long distance running or a seasoned half marathoner. Our half marathon groups meet twice a week from June to September - once a week for speed workouts and once a week for long runs. Your expert coach will also provide you with a weekly training plan that will guide your preparation for your target fall half marathon. Along the way you'll learn about about increasing your mileage, tempo runs, track workouts, hill workouts, recovery runs, nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, and much more.

This session will start June 30th and end September 15th. Check below for practice days and times.

Target Race: The Susquehanna Running Festival on Saturday, September 15th or any other half marathon in the same time frame.


To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.

Want to learn more about our Susquehanna Half Marathon Training? Sign up for the informational session at Charm City Run Bel Air on Wednesday, June 27th at 6:30pm. The info session will give you a chance to learn more about the program and ask your coach questions. Registered or not, you are also welcome to attend the first day of training to get a feel for the group.
