2k Walk Information

Family Fun Walk
This shorter trek is an opportunity for families and younger children to participate in
the Turkey Trot. Participants can either obtain pledges or pay a registration fee to
participate. Like the 5k event, all proceeds directly benefit children and youth who
cannot afford Y services in Towson. Pledge participants will receive awards based on the
amount of pledged dollars they collect for the Y. Pledge forms are available at ymaryland.org
or at the Towson Family Center Y front desk.

Course:
The Race begins at the Y of Central MD;entrance on Chesapeake Avenue, runs through the
streets of West Towson and Southland Hills finishes at the Y of Central MD Chesapeake
Avenue entrance.

Child Watch:
Available from 8:30-10:00 a.m. This service is free to Y of Central MD members.
Non-members fee is $5.00 per child or $8 per family.

When you participate in a Y Turkey Trot, you do so much more than improve your health
and have fun with neighbors and friends. You are also improving the health of the
community because proceeds go directly to Y programs for children and youth in our own
backyard. Children who need a safe haven after school, who need the presence of caring,
responsible role models in life, who need an extra boost to be well-prepared for school
and life. These are the true beneficiaries of our annual Thanksgiving Day runs.
