Awards: Overall top male and female finisher. Age group awards will be given to top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

Beneficiary: The Catie Carnes Foundation, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable and/or educational purposes. These purposes include: raising funds for, but not exclusively for, organizations that support the research and cure of Juvenile Diabetes; organizations that support the special needs of children diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes; and any nonprofit organizations upon the approval of the Board of Directors, Denise Carnes, Wendy Gallo and Kelly Brill.

We lost her too soon. We want to celebrate the beautiful person that was Catie, all 18 years of her. We want to keep her name alive, spoken out loud. We want to raise money to help find a cure for Juvenile Diabetes. Catie was diagnosed when she was just 11 years old, and it is quite possible that the pulmonary embolism (a circulatory complication) that took her life was a complication of Juvenile Diabetes. It is our greatest hope that monies raised through this foundation make a difference to those currently suffering from JD, and possibly help to cure this disease.
