The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge (Harrisburg) 09/28/2012 Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. Join Urology of Central Pennsylvania for the GPCC Harrisburg for a 5K race/one-mile walk to support ZERO - The Project to End Prostate Cancer. The GPCC is part of a national initiative designed to raise funds for prostate cancer research and community awareness during the month of September, National Prostate Cancer Awareness month. The race is part of the Great Prostate Cancer Challenge, America’s premier mens' health event series, taking place in 27 cities in 2012. Entry Fees: Thursday, Sept. 27 4-7 p.m. The Prostate Cancer Center 100 Corporate Center Dr., Suite 100, Camp Hill, Pa. 17011 Race Day 3:30 p.m. Course: The course will start on City Island and progress around the island and across the Walnut Street Bridge over the Susquehanna River. Participants will proceed north along the river bank and turn around at the Sunken Gardens and head back to City Island. The finish line will be at the end of the Walnut Street Bridge on City Island. Amenities: Each participant receives a commemorative T-shirt and gift bag. Refreshments will be provided. Awards: Given to the top three males and females overall, as well as the top three males and females in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
