Hopewell Reachout and Run 5K and 1-mile Walk

Form a team to run or walk together. Teams are a great way to pool resources, share enthusiasm and make race day even more memorable. Start your team on FirstGiving.com and use the site to help spread the word to family, friends and colleagues.

  • Simply register for REACHOUT & RUN to receive a long-sleeve, custom-designed 2012 race shirt.
  • Team Captains also receive a short-sleeve Team Captain shirt.
  • Cancer survivors will receive a special gift.
  • Breakfast is available for all and a heart-warming Survivors’ Ceremony begins at 9:30 am.

Race Stars line the 5K course and are the perfect way to honor or remember someone special. Each star costs $25 and is yours to keep after the event! To purchase a star, download a star form here or call 410-832-2719.

TrainWell. For your first 5K, let HopeWell train you well. Join RRCA-certified running coach, Erin Sanders, for a six-week training program to help you get ready to run, or walk, your first 5K!

• Walk, run or jog!
• Bring family, friends and colleagues.
• Volunteer to help out on race day.
• Become a sponsor.
• Dedicate a Race Star.
• Donate to a runner or walker.
• Form at team to run or walk together; participating as a team is fun and meaningful.
• The 1-mile walk is great for families and for those on the cancer journey.
• Honor someone special with a race star.

Awards: Trophies and gift certificates are awarded to the top three finishers overall (male and female) and the top three finishers (male and female) in the following age categories: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59; 60-69, 70 and over.

Awards will also be given to the top finisher (male and female) cancer survivor. Prizes and trophies are awarded for the biggest team and the team with the highest fundraising total. Raise $150 or more and receive a HopeWell tote bag! (For prize or premium consideration, donations must be made through FirstGiving.com.)


Can You Catch the Coolman?
This year's REACHOUT & RUN is our 15th anniversary, and to celebrate, we're honoring Baltimore running legend, Dave Cooley. Dave was one of the founders of REACHOUT & RUN and although he "retired" from running, Dave can still give you a run for your money. Do you think you can you catch the Coolman?
