My love of running was ignited by a sibling rivalry. My brother ran a half marathon and though I'd always been fairly active, I hadn't run since high school. I started thinking if he can do it why can't I. I trained for my first half (Baltimore 2014) entirely alone and was hooked. A friend suggested I join the training group at Charm City Run to meet some fellow runners. I was hesitant - I was used to running alone and I was slow - but I decided to give it a shot. The training group was fantastic - I found a handful of people who were about my pace and we bonded immediately. Those people are some of my closest friends still today.
Three years, a dozen half marathons, 5 marathons and a 50k later I still love running and the connections I have made through the local running community here in Baltimore. When not running along the promenade, you can find me doing yoga or taking a spin class.
I have coached 5k, 10k and 10 miler training groups and participated in numerous half and full marathon training groups with Charm City Run. I obtained my RRCA Level 1 Coaching Certification in January of 2017 and am excited to put all I learned to use in this upcoming year.
