Lauren is a full-time occupational therapy student and researcher and a part-time health and fitness nut. This former high school athlete fell in love with running post-college when she made a goal to get back in shape and complete her first 5K. Since getting hooked on running 4 years ago she has run 3 full marathons, half marathons and countless other races with no signs of slowing down. When she first made a goal to complete her first full marathon, the Baltimore Marathon, she decided to join a Charm City Run training group to help her. Her training group gave her the guidance, support, and confidence needed to finish the race strong, healthy, and smiling! She started assistant coaching with the BWC 5K group in 2015 and took on head coaching a 5K group in 2016.
Besides running Lauren loves dabbling in yoga, spin, and group fitness classes while also being a core member of the November Project Baltimore tribe. She loves cooking, watching TV & films, trying new restaurants and bars, and exploring all the fun things Baltimore has to offer. Lauren is the creator of Breathe Deeply and Smile where she writes about finding happiness, running, health & fitness, food, and Baltimore happenings. She can’t wait to help other people who are just starting out or those who want to make progress running achieve their goals with the support of Charm City Run!
