boston marathon training coach
I began running not by choice, playing soccer in high school and college. After college, I ran sporadically to stay in shape….until I was coerced into running my first marathon in 2007. After crossing the finish line of the Baltimore Marathon, I was hooked and haven’t stopped running since. Since 2007, I have completed ten marathons, including two Boston Marathons, and have a personal best of 2:48:30. Additionally, I have completed all six marathon majors (Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York) and have run all six marathon majors in less than 3 hours! I have completed countless half marathons and three ultra marathons (50K). To date, the highlights of my running career are my 2:48:30 in the 2018 Tokyo Marathon, running the Boston Marathon twice, and the first time I broke three hours in the 2013 New York City Marathon. I enjoy running because it is the one time throughout the day that I am truly in the moment and think about nothing other than running. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment after every run and I enjoy setting goals for myself and working to achieve those goals. I am truly one of the weird ones who enjoy the training process as much or more as I enjoy completing a race.
I started coaching with Charm City Run in 2009, and it has been a great experience for me. I enjoy helping people get into running and I enjoy assisting people in working towards achieving their running goals. In 2015, I became an RRCA certified running coach. Running has changed my life for the better and I only hope I can help give others the same experiences. I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1998 and the University of Baltimore, School of Law in 2002. I am currently a practicing attorney in Bel Air, Maryland.
