Helaine started running at 40. It wasn't a plan, it just happened! She used to walk before going to meet her young son at the bus stop. Walking turned into running. Which led to 5Ks, 10Ks, 10 milers, and a few half marathons. Helaine says running is her addiction, and feels jealous if she sees someone running when she isn't.
Besides running, Helaine enjoys yoga, barre, and working out at the gym. When it's time to relax, she loves to walk her dog and hangout with her husband and now college-age son; and then go for another run!
