Fall Trail Half Marathon Training

Prepare for a half marathon on the trails this fall!

Starts July 21st in Timonium.

Are you planning to run 13.1 on the trails this fall? Are you looking to tackle a new running challenge? Our training program will prepare to race your best - whether you're new to trail running or a seasoned training group runners. Our trail half marathon group will meet twice a week from July to November - once a week for speed workouts and once a week for long runs on local trails, unless weather forces us to stay on the roads. Your expert coach will also provide you with a weekly training plan that will guide your preparation for your target fall trail half marathon. Along the way you'll learn about everything you need to know regarding trail running including how to fuel and hydrate, pacing and picking out trail running shoes.

This session will start July 21st and end November 4th and is offered in the Timonium area.

Target Race: The Schaeffer Half Marathon on Saturday, November 4th or any other trail half marathon in the same time frame.


To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group. No previous trail running experience required!

Want to learn more about our Fall Trail Half Marathon Training? Sign up for the informational session at Charm City Run Timonium on Tuesday, June 19th at 6:30pm. The info session will give you a chance to learn more about the program and ask your coach questions. Registered or not, you are also welcome to attend the first day of training to get a feel for the group.
