Fall Half Marathon Training
Prepare for the Baltimore Running festival OR any other fall half marathon!
Starts July 21st!
Are you planning to run 13.1 this fall? Our training program will prepare to race your best - whether you're new to long distance running or a seasoned half marathoner. Our half marathon groups meet twice a week from July to October - once a week for speed workouts and once a week for long runs. Your expert coach will also provide you with a weekly training plan that will guide your preparation for your target fall half marathon. Along the way you'll learn about about increasing your mileage, tempo runs, track workouts, hill workouts, recovery runs, nutrition, hydration, injury prevention, and much more.
This session will start July 21st and end October 20th. Check below for practice days and times at your location.
Target Race: The Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday, October 20th or any other half marathon in the same time frame.
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.

Timonium - DAYTIME OPTION
A new option for those you want to train on weekday mornings. Expect speedwork or hills every Tuesday and group runs every Thursday. Long runs will be completed on your own on the weekends.

We will be offering a virtual training option for the Fall Half Marathon Training Program. This program is perfect for those who live out of state or aren't able to make the training sessions from the stores. Want to learn more about our Fall Half Marathon Training? Sign up for an informational session at your closest Charm City Run location. The info session will give you a chance to learn more about the program and ask your coach questions. Registered or not, you are also welcome to attend the first day of training to get a feel for the group.
