5K Stampede Run

Join the animal stampede and run in the 5K road race. At the halfway point, you’ll find an oasis to treat that thirst!

Low-Mileage Fun Walk
Our low-mileage fun walk will begin immediately following the start of the 5K stampede at 8 a.m., and all herds, crashes and hordes are encouraged to participate! The distance will be less than one mile, and the walk will take place both on and off the paved road.

Jungle Festival

Whether you want to stop by after your stampede or walk, or spend your whole day swinging from the vines, the Jungle Festival has something for everyone! There will be music, family-friendly entertainment, and activities for kids of all ages, including a coloring station, a bean-bag toss, oversized croquet and much more!

At the Jungle Festival, you’ll also find one of the area's best enclosed playgrounds, which all little monkeys will be able to take advantage of during the event.

The Wegmans Wellness Village is a Jungle Festival feature not to be missed! Stop by and grab a paw-full of FREE and HEALTHY snacks! Come cheer on your fellow animals at this year’s outrageously silly ROAR for Kids Mascot Challenge! Join us from 8 to 11:30 a.m. to experience all the excitement of the Jungle Festival!

Beaver Dam Road will be closed from 7:45 to 9:15 a.m. This means there will be no access TO or FROM Oregon Ridge Park during this time. Please plan accordingly.

Feeling sleepy as a sloth, but still want to support ROAR like a lion when you get up? Sleep in—hakuna matata! Register to SNORE for ROAR, and we'll send you a commemorative T-shirt!

One of the most important aspects of ROAR for Kids is our volunteers. Their participation is crucial to our success. Without the 100-plus individuals who volunteer their time, we would not be able to host the event. All volunteers receive a free event T-shirt.

There are three major volunteer categories: one for the 5K stampede, one for the Jungle Festival, and one for general event day operations. By joining the other community volunteers who operate the event and provide just a few hours of their time, you, too, can make a difference in the lives of thousands of children diagnosed with developmental disabilities. - Click here to volunteer.
