Since its inception in 2007, the Fiesta 5K has raised more than $3.4 million for ALS research. Participants can run/walk as part of a team or on their own. With a scenic course through Harbor East, the Fiesta 5K has become the can't-miss event in Baltimore the first Saturday every May. The goal of the race is simple - we want to make people more aware of ALS and raise funds to support our efforts toward a cure.

The 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) course begins and ends in downtown Baltimore. For the safety of our runners, the 5K race course is closed to bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, and pets. Wheelchairs and baby joggers/strollers are welcome in the non-competitive 5K walk. No pets please - but service dogs are welcome. To see the course description, click here.
All competitive 5K runners will have time chip scoring. Time chip scoring will not be offered to 5K walkers.
The overall best time male and female runners will receive awards. Awards will also be presented to the top female and male runners in each age group: 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Official chip timing and scoring of the race is by Charm City Run Events.
Awards will also be given to the top individual fundraiser, the top team fundraiser, and the team with the most participants. Awards ceremony following the race.
Discounted parking will be announced as we get closer to the event.
T-shirts available to first 750 registrants only (online). To guarantee a t-shirt, please consider pre-registering. Mile markers and water station on the course; splits provided at 1- and 2- mile marks. Post-race refreshments and snacks provided to all participants and volunteers. Runners and guests are encouraged to visis the Power Plant Live! Establishments after the race.
All proceeds from the Fiesta 5K will benefit the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. The Center is the only international research organization dedicated solely to the disease. We bring together the best scientists, from a variety of disciplines, in an environment that removes barriers to collaboration and enables shared innovation. We drive new ways of thinking about ALS and help identify drug therapies to slow its progression.
