The Charm City Run 5K at Boordy Vineyards is one of our most popular races and sells out every year! Each participant will receive a short sleeve shirt and entrance to the post race party which includes a glass of wine, live music and food.  Register now to save your spot. Race Day:
Starting at 4:30 pm


Arrival

THE EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE! In the event of a thunder and lightning storm, the decision to delay or cancel the event will be made at the start of the race.

Please plan to arrive at Boordy Vineyards prior to 5:30 p.m. as the roads leading into the Vineyard will be closed at 5:30 p.m. to guarantee all traffic is off the course prior to the start of the race. The following roads will be closed at 5:30 p.m. and will re-open no sooner than 7 p.m.

  • Long Green Road between Kanes Road and Long Green Pike

  • Long Green Pike between Long Green Road and Hydes Road

Please encourage your friends and family to bring along a picnic and join the festivities! NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL will be permitted on the premises. Only wine purchased through the Vineyard.


Amenities

Post-race party to include live music; refreshments for runners including cheese, bread, fruit and a glass of wine; water on course; gender specific shirt to all entrants. Additional food will be available for purchase.


Awards

Top three males and females overall and age group awards for the following categories: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.


Course

Takes place on varying terrain including grass, gravel and road.

Transfer Policy

We allow transfers up to one week prior to race day. There is a $10 processing fee for transfers. The transfer processing fee is paid by the "new registrant".  You may do so by going into your profile on runsignup.com and choosing manage registration.  


Event Guidelines

Please no baby joggers, strollers, roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, pets or headphones allowed on the race course. Your race number must be worn on your front and must be visible. DO NOT exchange or give your race number to another participant.


BENEFICIARY

March of Dimes improves the health of mothers and babies through five programming areas: medical research, education of pregnant women, community programs, government advocacy, and support of pregnant women and mothers. The organization provides women and families with educational resources on baby health, pregnancy, preconception and new motherhood, as well as supplying information and support to families in the NICU who are affected by prematurity, birth defects, or other infant health problems.

The Long Green Land Trust is a group comprised of local residents who share a common concern for land preservation and quality of life. Several hundred neighbors in and about the Valley comprise the LGLT membership. The Land Trust seeks to help property owners large and small understand the financial and personal benefits that accompany land preservation.
