**Every dollar we raise goes to support our mission to conduct, fund and promote research to show how exercise benefits mental health. In 2018 we are very excited to announce that all money raised from the race will go towards funding our first study. This $1.2 million dollar, gold standard study is being conducted in conjunction with the University of California, San Francisco to determine how the Wim Hof Method, (WHM) of training affects depression. The study will be supervised by world-renown researcher, Dr. Elissa Epel and span a two year and a half year period. The WHM is a breathing technique that includes extreme cold training, with the objective of controlling the autonomous systems of the body, thereby reducing chronic inflammation and chronic pain. We are honored that Wim Hof himself, and Dr. Elissa Epel will both be in attendance at this year's event. To find out more please visit our website www.exerciseyourmentalhealth.org
