Please join us for the 10th Annual AFCEA Central Maryland Race for Excellence: 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run on June 10, 2017. The post race celebration includes water, snacks, and a complimentary light breakfast for participants. After the race join us at Nottingham's to continue the festivities.
5K After May 1st (shirts are NOT guaranteed for those who register later than May 21st and will be provided on a first come, first served basis for those who register after May 21st):
$45 ages 13+ with shirt, $40 w/o shirt
$35 current government or active duty military (ID will be required at packet pickup)
$30 ages 5-12 with shirt, $25 w/o shirt
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk after May 1st (NO TIMING CHIP) (shirts are NOT guaranteed for those who register later than May 21st and will be provided on a first come, first served basis for those who register after May 21st):
$30 ages 13+ with shirt, $25 w/o shirt
$25 current gov or active duty military (ID required at packet pickup)
$20 ages 5-12 with shirt, $15 w/o shirt
There are no refunds of entry given or transfers of entry permitted for this event.
The event will be held rain or shine and no refunds of entry will be given.
NO PETS will be allowed at the Franklin Center for this event.

Largest team award goes to the team that has the most number of 5K finishers - Fastest team award goes to the team that has the fastest combined 5K time of its top four finishers. Both will recieve trophies.
USAT&F-certified; this is a loop course that is relatively flat, but the inclines are certain to provide a challenge.
T-shirts are guaranteed to registrants who register by May 21st; water and splits on the 5K course; a light breakfast will be provided to registered runners immediately after the AFCEA 5K.
***Breakfast is limited to paid participants; a racer bib will be required to gain entry to the meal tent. Granola bars, light fruit, and water will be available to everyone.
Post Race Party: Nottingham’s (8850 Stanford Boulevard, Columbia, MD 21045)
Top three male and female finishers overall as well as in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
This event requires the efforts of many volunteers who will help run the event. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your availability and interest. Volunteers are needed for bag stuffing, setup, and on race day.
