We invite everyone to join us for the 6th annual Red Hot Run 5K and Family Fun Walk. This is a challenging course through the Roland Park neighborhood. Grab your family, co-workers, neighbors and friends for this exciting community event. Don’t miss out! Be sure to stay for the post-race party with music, refreshments, awards, raffles, snacks, a photo booth and face painting - all free of charge!

Online Registration is now closed.  Registration is available on Race Day morning.


ENTRY FEES

$35 on race day

$10 for children 12 and under

All runners registered by March 30 will receive a technical race shirt. Shirts not guaranteed after this date.

Not an early bird? You can still support the event. Sleep in and stay at home!

Register as a SLEEPY PEPPER by March 30, pay the above fees and get a shirt (upon request).

Amenities

Post-run celebration with awards, free refreshments, food, face-painting and a photo booth so you can walk away with a special memento from the event! All runners registered by March 30 will receive a tech race shirt. Shirts not guaranteed after this date. Water stop and mile markers along the course.

Race goody bags will be distributed to the first 250 participants at packet pick-up sessions and on race day while supplies last.

Awards

5K Run Only (Family Fun Walk is untimed)

Awards will be given to the top three male/female overall finishers and the top male/female finishers in each of the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over. Awards will also be given to the top male/female employee, top male/female RPCS parent, top alumna and top RPCS student. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU QUALIFY FOR MULTIPLE CATEGORIES, YOU MUST CHOOSE ONE FOR AWARD PURPOSES. ONLY THOSE WHO MAKE A SELECTION AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION WILL BE CONSIDERED.

There will be a special memento for all children ages 12 and under who are registered by March 30.


Create a Team: (teams consist of five or more people)

Gather family, neighbors, friends, co-workers and classmates to create a team! Choose a team name – be creative! Teams with 20 or more participants will have the team name included on the back of the run shirts. Please note there will NOT be separate team shirts. The largest overall team will be recognized at the post-race party and the team name will be engraved on the Red Hot Run trophy permanently on display at RPCS. The largest RPCS team will have a team picture featured in the spring Laurel Leaf. Team members must be registered by March 30. NO ADDITIONS OR CHANGES AFTER THIS DATE.  Please note that team pictures will be taken at the post-race party prior to award distribution so be sure to stay!


Catch the Spirit

Get out your festive RPCS red. Be creative! The participant showcasing the most SPIRITED outfit will be recognized at the post-race party and a picture of the winner will be included on the 2017 Red Hot Run poster!


Raffles

Stay tuned for more information about our fabulous raffle items! Tickets will be sold prior to the run and on race morning. Winners to be announced at the post-race party. With the exception of the 50/50 raffle, you do not have to be present or a registered participant to win – all are welcome to enter.


BENEFICIARY

Roland Park Country School, a college preparatory school for girls in Grades K through 12 with Preschool for girls and boys, seeks to prepare its students for life. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Endowment for Faculty Compensation, to ensure that we are able to attract and retain exceptional teachers, and the Endowment for Student Financial Assistance, to provide tuition assistance for our talented and diverse student community.
