Ready . . . Set . . . Sniff 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk

  • Patterson Park

Online Registration is now closed. Registration is available on-site on race day.

The Ready, Set...Sniff! 5K Run and One-Mile Walk Run to save homeless animals at BARCS animal shelter. Run/walk as a team with a four-legged buddy, just as yourself or with your fundraising teammates. Whether you've run the race before, or you are new to our event, the participation format has changed a bit, to help us reach our $200,000 goal.

We have introduced a NEW peer-to-peer fundraising module, which we are asking all runners and walkers to take part in.

And, getting started is super easy! First, simply register to raise donations for the animals -- you can participate as an individual or start a team with your friends and family. When you raise your first $40, you're automatically part of our One-Mile Walk.

If you are a runner, looking to participate in the Ready, Set...SNIFF! 5K race, register with Charm City Run when race sign-up opens, and in your confirmation email you will find a link to set up your fundraising page!
We are so excited to have our race/walk integrated with fundraising this year. Every step that’s taken, every dollar that’s raised saves a life at BARCS.

The most powerful wish in an animal shelter comes from such a tiny word ... "home." At BARCS, the search for a home is everything - for every neglected cat or dog given up by its family, every kitten and puppy born into an already overpopulated world - home is the ultimate hope. It is thanks to the generosity from the dedicated friends of BARCS who help thousands of abandoned animals leave as cherished pets for their forever homes each year.

There are so many suffering, neglected and abandoned pets in Baltimore that still need our help. BARCS strives to save all healthy and treatable animals, but we can only accomplish this goal with your help. Every dollar raised from the Ready, Set, Sniff 5K goes directly toward the animals in our care.
